Negotiable based on related experience The position of Spirits & Wine Sales Manager contributes to the Company's mission by effectively serving as the front-line representative to retailers for the Company's liquor and wine product lines, resource for the company's sales reps, and primary liaison with the related suppliers. While presenting a positive image of the Company, the Spirits & Wine Sales Manager, in conjunction with the Sales Representative, will develop and leverage personal relationships to maximize sales and increase market share. In addition, the Spirits & Wine Sales Manager must be aware of, understand and be able to comply with all of the Company's Policies and Procedures, provide outstanding service to external customers and be knowledgeable concerning key elements of the position. Qualifications 1. Two-year associates degree or a four-year bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred. 2. Minimum of five years of experience in the wholesale liquor industry. 3. Demonstrated history in motivating a sales team, conflict resolution, negotiating, decision making and team selling. 4. Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, and proficient math skills. 5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate in English, both in person and on the telephone. 6. Must have a clean driving record (within company standards) and valid driver's license. Responsibilities 1. Adhere to all Federal, State and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of beverage products. 2. Converse with vice president of sales and general sales manager on brand goals and route to market strategies. 3. Obtain an in-depth knowledge of all C & L Distributing liquor products and complete training per Company guidelines, including sales certification through the Company's sales process within one year. 4. Leverage knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, including supplier promotional programs, structured sales processes, merchandising, new product introductions, price points, displays/banners, and distribution. 5. Understand quality control standards, including product freshness, rotation, finished product loss, etc. 6. Understand and monitor company gross margin targets. 7. Analyze sales history, account activity and market trends to maximize sales. 8. Skilled at recognizing additional sales opportunities, goal setting and related execution. 9. Be highly organized with ability to manage priorities and time while coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. 10. Delegate, analyze sales reports, analyze market initiative results and tie local promotions to national promotions. 11. Be highly self-motivated and results-oriented and possess the ability to work both independently and as a team player. 12. Demonstrate and maintain a competitive mindset, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to project a friendly, courteous and professional image. 13. Complete required documentation, including account objective tracking, tracking forms, surveys and banner orders. 14. Work directly with vice president of sales and general sales manager to develop go-to-market plans for spirits and wine brands. 15. Maintain a schedule that includes team sell days, coach-with days, market days, audit and verification days, and administration days. 16. Learn and utilize company sales software. 17. Create and present effective business review presentations. 18. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure that goals are met. 19. Confer with company managers to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets and promote business. 20. Maintain awareness of competitive pressures. 21. Know how to deal with unpleasant, angry or discourteous people. 22. Be confident in making decisions that affect other people. 23. Demonstrate commitment to keeping all Company and customer information confidential. 24. Update knowledge and skills by networking, reading industry publications, and regularly participating in Company-sponsored and approved training and educational opportunities. 25. Accept and adapt to change and assume responsibility for work outcomes and results. 26. Support the Company Handbook, Safety Policy and Vision Statement. 27. Other duties as assigned.Pay:
$70,000.00- $85,000.
