Job Description

SUMMARY :
Performs duties to effectively promote, prospect, develop client relationships, and book room and meeting room business. As well as conduct client and guest follow-ups to meet Town Pump and brand operational standards. Model the Hotel Group Mission Statement "Genuine Hospitality from genuine people committed to providing comfort and service."
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Interact with guests, co-workers, and management in a courteous, professional manner. Must maintain a high degree of pride in job performance. Maintain a business professional image while representing the Company. Generate target revenue percentages from sleeping rooms, events, and business meetings. Demonstrate and communicate an understanding of profitability. Responsible for ensuring property is up to par through regular inspections and reporting all known issues with services, equipment, and property; ensuring work orders are in place. Work closely with GM, RDOS, and the Franchise Revenue Manager (if the property has one) to find and evaluate new marketing opportunities for the hotel. Not limited to but may include: Creating promotions to attract consumers looking for sleeping rooms, and groups looking for events. Offer promotions on future stays or functions, offer referral credit for business, etc. Create promotions to attract planners organizing business events such as trade shows, conferences, mixers, seminars, and workshops. Soliciting business through mailings, cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, and face-to-face sales meetings, and answering incoming requests for information. Attend extra-curricular activities and meetings that offer networking and educational opportunities. Maintain E-Commerce Marketing and presence. Participate in the Revenue Management calls. Maintain property management system with updated business and customer account information. Prepare and submit all required monthly sales reports. Prepare and maintain the marketing plan with the GM and RDOS. Comply with Town Pump expectations for the confidentiality of guest and company information. Complete any other duties assigned by management
Qualification Requirements :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Excellent Communication Skills-both written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with potential guests and hotel team. Must have strong organizational skills and time management skills being able to prioritize tasks, respond quickly to all inquiries and leads, and meet deadlines. Interpersonal Skills-The ability to engage with all types of personalities and work effectively with hotel team members, Regional Sales Managers and other management members. Must be creative to be able to think strategically, out of the box thinking to capture potential accounts from different market segments in the local market. Knowledge of hotel and guest service operations preferred.
EDUCATION AND/EXPERIENCE
:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • IHG experience required.

  • Concerto Hotel Key PMS experience desired but not required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record OTHER SKILLS and

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. This position has an initial 365-day (1 year) probationary period.

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
