Job Description

Territory Manager — Fluid Power & Hydraulics | Bakken Region Competitive Base Salary + Commission | Williston, ND MCE | Full-Time MCE's Williston is the go-to fluid power resource for oil & gas operators, fleet customers, and industrial users across the Bakken region offering hose, fittings, hydraulics, filtration, and a full Parker Truck Hydraulics Center that builds and repairs complete hydraulic systems on-site. As our Territory Manager, you'll own the growth of this territory developing new business, deepening existing customer relationships, and becoming the trusted technical partner that Bakken operators count on when they can't afford downtime. What You'll Do Build & Grow Your Territory Identify and develop new business opportunities across oil & gas operators, fleet customers, and industrial accounts in the Bakken region (North Dakota, South Dakota, and eastern Montana). Retain and grow existing customer relationships through regular visits, proactive outreach, and a deep understanding of each customer's operational needs and profit drivers. Research local market conditions, emerging opportunities, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve. Deliver Solutions, Not Just Products Provide strategic recommendations, customized pricing, and tailored solutions for hydraulic systems, hose assemblies, fittings, filtration, and fluid power products. Prepare and present quotes and proposals; negotiate terms and close transactions on both standard orders and large project work. Work with OEMs, engineering teams, and technical staff to clarify customer specs and develop the right solution for each application. Oversee delivery, installation, and troubleshooting support to ensure customers stay up and running. Own the Pipeline Initiate and maintain consistent sales call cadence phone, email, and in-person with customers across industrial and oil & gas applications. Record all account activity, contacts, opportunities, and progress in CRM daily to keep your pipeline accurate and actionable. Report on sales performance and market insights to management on a regular basis.
What We're Looking For Must Have:
3-5 years of outside sales or territory management experience, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, or fluid power markets. Proven track record of hitting sales targets and growing a territory through both retention and new business development. Strong communication and presentation skills are comfortable with everyone from a rig hand to a plant manager. Self-motivated and able to manage a broad territory independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license; comfortable with regular travel throughout the Bakken region. Nice to Have (relevant background is a strong plus): Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, hose and fittings, fluid power components, or Parker product lines. Experience selling oil & gas, agriculture, fleet/truck, or heavy equipment markets in North Dakota or the greater Bakken region. Familiarity with project management principles for larger capital equipment or system installations. Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus commission structured to reward territory growth and performance.
