Job Description

KidStrong General Managers are the leaders of the center - it is the responsibility of the General Manager to foster a culture of learning, development, and growth for both their coaches and the families that attend the center. The General Manager is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for kids, families, and team members. Equally important, the General Manager must be a proven sales leader —able to drive membership growth, deliver on revenue goals, and develop creative strategies that expand the center's impact. Success in this role requires balancing sales performance with team development and member retention . The goal of the General Manager is to: Develop and train their coaching team. Build strong, lasting relationships with KidStrong families. Deliver key business results such as sales growth, trial conversions, event bookings, and lowering member attrition .
RESPONSIBILITIES CENTER OPERATIONS
Understand the center's key KPIs and financials to make informed and responsible business decisions. Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families that align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service. Oversee center-level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center. Delegate center tasks to ensure consistent execution. Manage center-level employee issues and maintain appropriate documentation. Create and manage coach schedules using scheduling and communication platforms. Schedule, promote, and sell KidStrong events (camps, parties, etc.) to maximize profitability. SALES (Key Focus Area) Take full ownership of sales performance , including new membership sales, renewals, and upselling. Maintain flawless lead management by conducting call drives to new and existing leads in the Center's CRM tool. Train, delegate, and hold staff accountable for call drives, trial conversions, and event bookings. Finalize sales and bookings that are generated through online sign-up flow. Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness, generate new leads, and drive incremental memberships. Consistently track and report on sales metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline activity. Partner with HQ to implement sales strategies and ensure local execution meets or exceeds goals.
LEADERSHIP
Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and evaluate coaching candidates. Lead and support the ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon. Conduct regular staff meetings focused on development, sales performance, programming, and productivity. Communicate professionally with co-workers and HQ in Slack and Email, including periodic checks when not in centers. Attend weekly leadership meetings.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Previous management experience required. Strong background in sales leadership, customer relationship management, and business development. An athletic and/or coaching background with experience working with kids ages 15 months-11 years old (a passion for working with children is non-negotiable!). Ability to confidently communicate with parents/guardians about programs, memberships, and value. CPR certified.
