Position Overview Emerald Energy NJ is seeking an experienced Canvassing Manager / Closer to oversee appointment generation efforts while personally running and closing appointments generated by the canvassing team. This is a dual-role leadership position that combines: Field Sales Leadership Team Recruitment & Development Canvassing Operations Management In-Home Sales Presentations Deal Closing & Revenue Generation The ideal candidate understands how to build a high-performing field team while consistently converting opportunities into closed business. If you have experience leading canvassers, managing field sales teams, or closing in industries such as solar, roofing, home improvement, windows, HVAC, pest control, alarms, or other in-home sales environments, we'd love to speak with you. What You'll Do Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and mentor canvassing representatives Conduct ride-alongs and field coaching sessions Develop team performance standards and accountability systems Motivate and inspire setters to achieve appointment goals Create a positive, competitive, and growth-oriented team culture Assist with onboarding and ongoing sales development Canvassing Operations Management Monitor lead quality and appointment performance Ensure territory coverage and field productivity Track KPIs and team performance metrics Implement strategies to improve appointment conversion rates Collaborate with leadership on growth initiatives and market expansion In-Home Sales & Closing Run appointments generated by the canvassing team Conduct professional consultations with homeowners Educate prospects on solar and energy-saving solutions Present proposals and financing options Handle objections effectively and professionally Close deals and maintain a strong conversion rate Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process Relationship Building Build trust with homeowners and community members Represent Emerald Energy NJ professionally in the field Foster long-term customer relationships and referrals Maintain a reputation of honesty, transparency, and professionalism What We're Looking For Leadership Qualifications Proven leadership or team management experience Ability to recruit, train, and motivate sales professionals Strong coaching and accountability skills Experience building high-performing teams Sales Experience Strong preference for experience in: Solar sales Roofing sales Home improvement sales Windows and doors HVAC Pest control Alarm systems Door-to-door sales Appointment setting In-home sales presentations Previous closing experience is highly preferred.
