We are looking for a Supply Chain Business Development Director who brings a strong technical and engineering foundation, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the business mindset to drive transformation and step changes across our supply chain network. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and business strategy — driving end-to-end delivery of innovation and renovation initiatives from concept through commercialization. The ideal candidate is a technically grounded leader who can leverage deep knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain to unlock growth, challenge the status quo, and deliver meaningful change at scale. If you come from a background in Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, Program/Project Management, or Strategy with the required technical foundation, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we bring new products and capabilities to market. What You Will Do Strategic Planning & Network Optimization Partner with site leadership to develop and execute the site strategy and plant roadmap, integrating innovation and renovation plans into long-term supply plans Lead network design and optimization, including long-term capacity planning and multi-year scenario modeling to identify investment, divestment, plant consolidation, and greenfield opportunities Provide strategic thought leadership through scenario brainstorming, identification of project interdependencies, best practice sharing, and structured output review with senior stakeholders Develop and implement growth and productivity strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Finance, R D, Engineering, and Manufacturing — ensuring alignment across the full value chain Serve as the key interface between Category, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing, and R D teams to align priorities and drive decisions Lead capacity and sourcing assessments to address current and future supply and demand gaps Support the development of the site CAPEX budget in partnership with Engineering, ensuring bottom-up capital planning and prioritization Innovation & Commercialization (I2M / IIM) Lead the end-to-end commercialization of new innovation, from concept through to market launch Own and drive the Innovation-to-Market (I2M) and Initiative & Innovation Management (IIM) process at the site or cluster level Lead project verification and design reviews (DR4-DR7), ensuring all site readiness milestones are met Ensure effective planning and execution of change as it relates to new and existing products, packaging, and processes Lead site post-project evaluations and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders Project Execution & Governance Drive consistency and quality in project execution using appropriate methodologies and tools (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, Agile, Stage-Gate) Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource plans Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks; escalate to leaders as needed Provide regular project reporting and status updates through scorecards, status reports, and stakeholder review meetings Confirm project completion, quality, and readiness to go live Ongoing Business Simplification & Productivity Collaborate across functions and bakeries to continuously improve processes, deliver productivity, and support new product commercialization Integrate the overall site change management agenda to maintain service levels while delivering projects Manage ongoing reprioritization and de-complexity initiatives Ensure execution of regional and global menu cards and that manufacturing hurdle rates are met Productivity Own Productivity delivery for your pillar including in-year NP deliverables and future year pipeline sufficiency development Support delivery of the site productivity and continuous improvement agenda Stakeholder Management Own relationships with x-functional teams and manufacturing sites, ensuring quality assurance across all phases of project delivery Manage and influence stakeholders from tactical execution level through steering committee, driving alignment and effective decision-making Team Leadership & Capability Building Build high-performing, cross-functional teams across internal and external partners We are looking for a technically strong leader — ideally with an engineering background and manufacturing experience — who combines operational depth with the commercial acumen and entrepreneurial drive to deliver transformation and step-change results. Experience & Background Technical or engineering degree (or equivalent experience) with a strong foundation in manufacturing, process engineering, or supply chain operations Significant hands-on manufacturing experience in a CPG or FMCG environment — with a deep understanding of plant operations, process improvement, and technical problem-solving Proven experience in supply chain operations, program/project management, or strategy Demonstrated experience in network design, capacity planning, and multi-year scenario modeling — including investment, divestment, consolidation, and greenfield analysis Demonstrated experience in commercializing new products or innovations — from pipeline development through to launch execution Track record of driving transformation and step-change improvements — not just incremental gains — through cross-functional collaboration and strategic execution Track record of developing and implementing growth and/or productivity strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing processes, including commercialization (I2M or equivalent) Familiarity with capital budgeting, resource planning, and financial aspects of project delivery Technical Skills Working knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, LEAN, and Six Sigma tools and methodologies Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Stage-Gate, Agile, MS Project, or equivalent) Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights — including scenario modeling and financial analysis Knowledge of relevant business processes and supporting technology solutions (ERP, MES, etc.) Leadership & Mindset Entrepreneurial and transformation-oriented mindset — able to identify growth opportunities, challenge the status quo, and drive step-change results with a bias for action Strong business acumen — understands how engineering and supply chain decisions translate into commercial outcomes and category growth Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) — able to engage effectively from shop floor to executive steering committee Strong stakeholder management and ability to positively influence decision-making across functions and levels Strategic thinker with the ability to excel in leading tactical, hands-on programs Demonstrated coaching and team-building capabilities Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $142,700 to $235,455; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
