About Shearon Environmental Shearon Environmental, founded in 1974, is a family-run business committed to quality, consistency, and efficiency in the commercial landscape space. Our ownership fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment with many long-standing employees. In addition to traditional landscape services, we offer in-house expertise in landscape architecture, civil engineering, agronomy, hardscape and plant installation, site work, interior scaping, and arboriculture—providing clients with a single source for a full suite of services and technical knowledge. About the Role The Regional Sales Director will play a key role in expanding the company's presence throughout Central and Southern New Jersey. This individual will develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives while partnering with internal teams to support the growth of our Princeton and Voorhees regional offices. Target markets include Homeowners Associations (HOAs), apartment and condo communities, hospitals, schools, office and industrial complexes, and golf courses. We are seeking a proactive, results-driven sales professional with a strong "hunter" mentality—someone who thrives on generating new business, building relationships, and creating opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute tailored sales and marketing strategies Analyze market trends and competitor activities
Sales & Business Development:
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close Actively prospect and generate new leads to drive bidding opportunities and expand market presence Develop client-centric, solution-based proposals Collaborate with production and estimating teams on profitable bids Identify customer pain points and deliver creative, value-driven solutions Manage multiple opportunities and sales campaigns simultaneously Support operations teams in achieving growth objectives
Market Analysis:
Conduct research to understand customer needs and market conditions Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong client relationships Establish trust with key decision-makers (HOA boards, property managers, facilities personnel) Partner with internal teams to leverage technical expertise
Brand Promotion:
Enhance brand visibility across NJ markets Support development of targeted marketing materials Participate in networking and industry events
Performance Management:
Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Self-manage daily schedule and consistently meet activity and performance goals Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in landscaping, environmental services, construction , or strong B2B sales (industry experience can be taught) Minimum of 3+ years of experience in construction-related sales or within the construction industry preferred Proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong ability to proactively generate leads and secure new business opportunities Proactive, self-starter with a "hunter" mentality and a strong drive to win new business Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven Ability to collaborate effectively across teams Experience with HubSpot CRM (or similar CRM platforms) is required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and willingness to travel Additional Requirements Ability and willingness to attend marketing and networking events, including occasional overnight travel and after-hours commitments Why Shearon Environmental?
