Job Description

Arett Sales is a leading wholesale distributor of lawn, garden, home, and holiday products. We partner with independent garden centers, nurseries, hardware stores, farm & feed, hydroponic shops, and regional chains across the country — a diverse retail network that keeps this role dynamic year-round. The Role Own and grow a multi-state outside sales territory across California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. You'll manage an established account base, independently develop new business, and execute seasonal programs across a product mix that spans every quarter. This is a remote, field-based role — you'll be on the road regularly calling on retail buyers across the Western U.S. What You'll Do Manage and grow existing accounts across garden, hardware, farm & feed, hydroponic, and specialty retail channels Prospect and close net-new independent retail and regional chain accounts across five states Secure seasonal promotional displays and execute new product launch programs Submit weekly fill-in orders to maintain in-stock levels across the territory Track and report competitor activity and market intelligence Represent Arett at trade shows: Open House, Pottery Showcase, Summer Marketplace, Good Tidings Holiday Showroom What You Bring 5+ years outside field sales experience — wholesale distributor or manufacturer rep required Established book of business with proven independent retailer relationships in the Western U.S. Experience in lawn & garden, hardware, farm & feed, hydroponic, or seasonal channels strongly preferred 2+ years wholesale distribution sales experience Comfortable managing a large multi-state territory with regular travel Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (3+ years) Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance required Compensation & Benefits Base salary + commission — uncapped earning potential Medical, dental, and vision | 401(k) with match | HSA | Life insurance Paid time off + paid training | Cell phone + mileage reimbursement | Employee discounts Equal Opportunity Employer.
