$70,000 to $85,000 Company Overview Pamal Broadcasting is a locally owned and operated group of radio stations in New York's Hudson Valley, Capital Region, Glens Falls, and Rutland, Vermont. Pamal Broadcasting is looking to add a new member to their team! The Regional Sales Manager will oversee Albany; NY, Glens Falls,NY; and Rutland, VT as well as a Local Sales Manager for Vermont. SUMMARY As the Regional Sales manager, you will actively explore all opportunities to grow local, national, non-traditional, and interactive revenue. Your goal is to develop, implement, and communicate sales strategies, action plans, and oversee efforts of sales team by reviewing sales proposals and negotiations with clients.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor performance of sales staff. Conduct periodic meetings with sales staff. Must adapt easily within a changing environment, demonstrate commitment to organizational transformation and organizational vision. Handles personnel functions, to include interviewing, hiring, measuring, and evaluating performance, recognizing accomplishments, and termination. Communicates management policies and procedures to all employees and ensures that they are understood and followed. Reviews and approves compensation plans for all employees. Responsible for ensuring the staff is given an opportunity to make a livelihood through training, feedback, and effective direction and management. Other responsibilities include but not limited to: Develops, implements, and communicates sales strategies and action plans. Oversee efforts of sales team by reviewing sales proposals and negotiations with clients. Sells advertising space for the station. Achieves goals and budgets as set forth by Vice President of Sales. Approves all sales promotions for that station. Attend all client functions that involve the station. Schedules sales calls and submits reports of sales activities. Studies and understands the station's market. Reviews programming for best sales opportunities. Placing singed orders on behalf of clients that are accurate. Ensure that advertisements air accurately as client requested. Ensure that client's payments are handled properly and timely. Makes contact with at least 10 new clients per week. Follow up with clients within 30 days to ensure satisfaction with the services provided. Explores various avenues to expand client base and acquire new clients Attends weekly sales meeting with department heads. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing or a related field Three to five years previous sales experience One to three years of supervisory experience Must be detail oriented Must work well with little direction Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills Must have a reliable form of transportation
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Fast paced environment May involve evenings, weekends, or holidays. Majority of shift is spent mobile in a vehicle Involves lots of traveling to visit clients
