Job Description

DOSM Job Summary:
The ​ Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives for the hotel's dining outlets, banquet facilities, and catering services. This role focuses on securing corporate events, social gatherings, weddings, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) business while maintaining strong client relationships and maximizing upselling opportunities ​
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets, aligning with the hotel's annual marketing budget. Identify and target new business opportunities through proactive outreach (cold calls, networking, industry events). ​
Client Management:
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses to secure repeat bookings. Negotiate contracts and create customized proposals for weddings, galas, and corporate functions. ​
Collaboration & Operations:
Work closely with the culinary and banquet teams to design innovative menus and ensure seamless event execution. Coordinate with the marketing team to promote F&B outlets and seasonal promotions. ​
Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor pricing, offerings, and market trends to adjust sales strategies. Submit weekly reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts. ​
Customer Satisfaction:
Oversee VIP guest experiences during events, ensuring high service standards and resolving issues promptly. ​
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
3+ years in hotel sales, specifically in F&B/banquet sales (luxury/high-volume venues a plus). ​
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in sales CRM tools (e.g., Delphi, Opera) and MS Office. ​
Soft Skills:
Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data. ​
Work Conditions:
Flexible schedule (evenings/weekends for events). Travel required for client meetings and industry events.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
