Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a National Sales Manager to join our team in Fort Recovery. The primary goal of this position is to sell targeted value-add products into targeted foodservice and retail accounts. It is the responsibility of this position to grow profitable business and develop long-term relationships with customers in the continental US. Focus is for sales opportunities for liquid egg products and shell eggs for retail or foodservice.

Monday through Friday
STARTING RATE
Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
Prospect for and manage long term customers who will maximize our net sales revenues on targeted value-add products and develop those relationshipsManage the broker system, if applicable, to ensure our targeted products are being presented properlyEnsure current customer base is serviced to the best of our ability, and better than our competition wouldResponsible for staying up to date on state regulations governing eggs and eggs productsSend out weekly updates to appropriate recipientsDevelop and maintain a yearly strategic business planProvide ideas which will improve targeted product line and provide better service to customersMaintain high ethical standards in dealing with customers and representing Cooper FarmsAttend and work food shows as required to maintain or improve customer relationsUnderstand the current product offerings of your competitors to better realize what obstacles may be faced, and to stay ahead of competitionEstablish short-term and long-term goals and performance metrics and report regularly on progress
