Hotel Area Sales Manager

Position Title Area Hotel Sales Manager Reports To Regional Director of Operations / Ownership Position Summary The Area Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and developing strong business relationships across multiple hotel properties within the portfolio. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing accounts, increasing occupancy, and maximizing ADR and RevPAR through strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, sales-driven, and experienced in hospitality sales with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Essential Job ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation Develop and execute strategic sales plans for multiple hotel properties Increase hotel revenue through: Corporate accounts Local negotiated rates (LNRs) Group business Sports teams Extended stay accounts Government and crew business Prospect new business through outside sales calls, networking, cold calling, and community involvement Maintain and grow existing client relationships Conduct hotel site tours and client meetings Follow up on all leads, RFPs, and inquiries in a timely manner Work closely with revenue management to optimize rate strategies and occupancy Account Management Develop and maintain key account relationships Negotiate contracts and room blocks Ensure all group contracts, billing, and booking details are accurate Monitor production reports and account performance Maintain organized sales activity and account documentation Market & Community Engagement Attend local networking events, chamber meetings, and community events Build partnerships with local businesses, venues, hospitals, colleges, and sports organizations Monitor competitor activity and market trends Assist in developing promotional strategies and hotel marketing initiatives Reporting & Communication Provide weekly sales updates and activity reports to management

Revenue performance Prospecting activity Account production Group pace Booking trends Participate in weekly revenue and strategy meetings Maintain accurate sales systems and CRM updates Operational Collaboration Work closely with General Managers and Front Office teams to ensure group and corporate guest satisfaction Coordinate rooming lists, billing details, meeting space setup, and special requests Assist properties during high-demand periods and special events Support hotels in achieving brand and guest satisfaction goals Qualifications Previous hotel sales experience preferred Experience with Hilton and/or Marriott sales systems preferred Strong knowledge of hospitality sales strategies and revenue management Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties Performance Expectations Meet and exceed monthly revenue goals Maintain consistent prospecting and outside sales activity Increase ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR performance Maintain strong client relationships and repeat business Ensure timely communication with hotel leadership and ownership

Pay:

$46,588.61 - $56,106.71 per year
