To lead this charge, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking sales leader who wants to combine the security of an established 75-year-old brand with the agility and upside of a modern tech transformation. Position Summary:
As the Commercial Sales & Quoting Manager , you will report directly to the General Manager and take 100% ownership of building our commercial sales and quoting function from scratch. We operate in an industry where winning contracts depends entirely on three pillars: Speed to Quote, Accuracy of Quoting, and Proactive Communication . We are not looking for a traditional, pencil-and-paper estimator. We need a technology-forward leader who actively explores how to leverage modern tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate data scraping, optimize blueprint takeoffs, and accelerate quote delivery ahead of our competitors. In addition to transactional quoting, you will be heavily focused on selling high-margin, recurring revenue Preventative Maintenance (PM) packages to our primary target audiences. Our Target Customers (ICP): Multi-location franchise groups and corporate regional accounts. School districts and local institutional entities. Our deeply valued legacy portfolio of well over 100 small, family-owned local restaurants. Key Responsibilities:
Build the Function:
Design, test, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the entire commercial sales and quoting process from scratch. Leverage AI & Modern Tech:
Source, integrate, and master AI tools, modern CRMs, and quoting software to streamline mechanical estimations and drastically shorten the time-to-quote. Drive Quoting Speed & Accuracy:
Act as the lead estimator, ensuring all submitted proposals are flawlessly accurate to protect profit margins, yet delivered faster than any competitor in the market. Grow Recurring Revenue:
Actively market, structure, and sell Preventative Maintenance (PM) agreements to protect our clients' equipment and secure steady corporate revenue lines. B2B Relationship Management:
Confidently navigate different customer relationships—whether pitching long-term contracts to school boards and corporate procurement managers, or visiting face-to-face with local, family-owned restaurant owners. Pipeline Strategy:
Work hand-in-hand with the General Manager to track close rates, analyze pricing competitiveness, and refine our market positioning. What We're Looking For:
Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in B2B commercial sales, estimating, or quoting—preferably within HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical contracting, or facility services. Tech-Forward DNA:
You are fascinated by technology and are already using (or eager to learn) AI utilities, advanced quoting software, and modern CRMs (e.g., ServiceTitan, HubSpot, Salesforce) to scale your personal output. The "Builder" Mentality:
You don't need an instructions manual; you enjoy writing it. You thrive when given the autonomy to create workflows from scratch. Financial Literacy:
Strong understanding of gross margins, labor multipliers, and material lead times to ensure quotes are highly competitive yet highly profitable. Communication Flexibility:
Outstanding emotional intelligence; able to pivot communication styles seamlessly between corporate executives and small business owners. What We Offer:
