Business Development Manager | St.
Louis, MO The Job:
At Stivers , we're looking for a hunter who actually enjoys the people side of the business. We need a Business Development Manager in St. Louis to help us grow. This is a "Full Desk" role—you aren't just making a sale and walking away; you're hunting the business, winning the client, and managing the talent that makes it all work.The Partnership:
You won't be doing this alone. You'll be part of a "rotating desk" system. You own the account, but you win as a team. You and your counterpart are essentially Co-Owners of your territory. You'll need to be organized, fast on your feet, and a great communicator to keep the momentum going. What you'll actually be doing: Finding theBusiness:
You'll spend your time prospecting, networking, and getting in front of decision-makers. You're the one who starts the conversation. Closing theDeal:
You'll sit down with clients, figure out their pain points, and put together a plan that works for them. Managing theRelationship:
Once the contract is signed, you're still the lead. You'll stay in touch with your clients to make sure they're happy and to see what else they need as they grow.Collaborating:
You'll talk to our recruiting team constantly. You need to know what's happening on their side so you can give your clients honest, real-time updates. Who we're looking for: We want someone who is smart, fast on their feet, and competitive. You don't need a decade of staffing experience, but you do need to have a "go-getter" energy. You like to win. Whether you were a college athlete, a campus leader, or the top salesperson at your last job, you're someone who hits their goals. You're a "people person" with an edge. You can build a rapport with anyone, but you're also not afraid to ask for the business or negotiate a contract. You're a self-starter. You don't need a manager breathing down your neck to get your work done. You treat your territory like your own business.The Basics:
You'll need a valid driver's license and a car to get to client meetings. A degree in Business or Sales is great, but your drive matters more to us. What's in it for you?OTE:
