Job Description

Position Overview The Business Development Manager will lead commercial growth for our insulation and thermal protection product lines , with primary responsibility for expanding revenue across aerospace and defense customers . This role owns strategic account management, new business development, and long-range growth initiatives while partnering closely with engineering and R&D to commercialize next-generation solutions. The current customer portfolio exceeds $50M in annual revenue , with significant opportunity for expansion through new programs, PMA/reverse-engineering efforts, and patented product development. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sales Leadership Own and grow sales of thermal insulation and thermal management solutions across aerospace and defense markets. Manage and expand relationships with key OEM and Tier-1 customers, including GE Aerospace , Pratt & Whitney , Collins Aerospace , and Lockheed Martin . Drive long-term account strategies aligned with customer platforms, engine programs, and lifecycle opportunities. Growth & New Business Development Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities tied to: PMA and reverse-engineering programs Next-generation engine platforms Adjacent aerospace and select industrial markets Collaborate with engineering and R&D to translate customer needs into commercially viable, differentiated solutions . Support evaluation and commercialization of technologies that may result in new patents and proprietary product offerings . R&D & Technology Alignment Act as the commercial voice in cross-functional discussions involving R&D, engineering, and operations. Help prioritize development efforts based on market demand, customer pull, and profitability. Guide leadership on emerging market trends, competitive landscape, and new application areas for Thermal Structures' technologies. Revenue & Profitability Focus Lead growth initiatives with a clear emphasis on profitability and sustainable margins . Support the company's strategic objective of at least 10% year-over-year growth in 2026 . Develop accurate forecasts, pipeline visibility, and long-range growth plans. Qualifications Proven experience leading sales or business development within aerospace and/or defense manufacturing. Strong understanding of thermal management, insulation systems, composites, or high-temperature materials . Demonstrated success selling into engine OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or major defense primes . Ability to engage at both executive and technical levels with customers. Experience supporting new product introduction, PMA, reverse engineering, or IP-driven programs is highly preferred. Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to closing business.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
