Job Description
Farm Road is looking for a driven, polished, and hospitality-minded Business Development Manager to help grow our wedding, corporate retreat, and private event business. Located on 40 acres in West Dover, Vermont, Farm Road offers lodging for up to 150 guests, multiple event venues, restaurants, pools, ponds, pickleball courts, luxury homes, cottages, and unique indoor/outdoor gathering spaces. We are looking for someone who can help bring more qualified leads to the property, build relationships, and convert interest into booked events. About the Role This person will be responsible for driving new business for weddings, corporate retreats, social events, group buyouts, and private dining opportunities. The right candidate will be proactive, organized, comfortable with outreach, and able to represent Farm Road with warmth and professionalism. Responsibilities Generate new wedding, retreat, and private event leads Build relationships with wedding planners, corporate planners, travel advisors, local businesses, HR teams, executive assistants, and event professionals Follow up quickly and professionally with inbound leads Conduct outreach by phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, and local/regional partnerships Schedule property tours and help move prospects through the sales process Work with the events team to prepare proposals, pricing, and event details Attend networking events, trade shows, wedding showcases, and corporate hospitality events when appropriate Maintain lead activity and follow-up notes in the CRM Help create sales campaigns for slower dates, corporate retreats, holiday parties, and full-property buyouts Track sales activity, conversion rates, and booked revenue Ideal Candidate Experience in hospitality sales, wedding sales, event sales, hotel sales, catering sales, or business development Strong communication and follow-up skills Comfortable making outbound calls and building new relationships Professional, polished, and personable Self-motivated and able to work independently Familiarity with weddings, retreats, corporate events, or luxury hospitality is a plus CRM experience preferred Knowledge of Vermont, New England, New York, Connecticut, Boston, or destination wedding markets is a plus Compensation $70,000-$90,000 base salary plus performance-based commission/bonus. Total compensation potential $90,000-$125,000+ based on booked revenue. Schedule Full-time preferred. Hybrid or flexible schedule may be considered for the right candidate.
