"Lead major gift strategy within a nationally recognized academic health system." About the Role Loyola Medicine is seeking an experienced and relationship‑driven Director of Major Gifts (Hybrid role) to join our Philanthropy team. This role manages a portfolio of high‑capacity donors and prospects with giving potential in the $100,000-$500,000 range and plays a key role in advancing Loyola University Health System's philanthropic priorities. Working collaboratively across clinical departments, physicians, faculty, and development colleagues, the Director of Major Gifts builds meaningful donor relationships that result in transformational support and helps foster a strong culture of philanthropy internally and externally. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a leading academic health system while partnering with passionate clinicians, leaders, and donors. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a personal portfolio of approximately 100-140 major gift prospects Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through strategic engagement and regular visits Partner closely with physicians, administrators, and engagement services to identify and advance fundraising opportunities Collaborate with development leadership to plan and execute major gift strategies Contribute to donor stewardship efforts, events, and enhanced donor experiences Maintain accurate donor records, reports, and prospect strategies in the fundraising database Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required; Master's degree preferred Minimum 7 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field Healthcare philanthropy experience strongly preferred Proven success building relationships and closing major gifts Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills High level of professionalism and discretion High energy, fast paced, customer and solutions-oriented Hybrid role -Onsite/Remote:
