We exceed professionalism and care with each person associated with the wedding. Job Description The Director of Sales & Operations is the operational and sales heartbeat of Better Together Planning. You sit between the CEO's vision and the team's daily execution — making sure every bride gets a consistent, elevated, and stress-free planning experience while driving new business through an authentic and relationship-based sales process. This is a leadership role for someone who is equally energized by closing a sale and building a system. You love people, you love process, and you love a good dance floor moment. Responsibilities Sales Own the full sales process from consultation to signed contract Conduct engaging, conversion-focused discovery consultations (video/call and in-person) Manage all lead follow-up sequences through HoneyBook CRM Maintain and improve sales conversion rates with monthly reporting to CEO Meet or exceed monthly sales goals set by CEO Represent the Better Together brand with warmth, professionalism, and expertise Identify opportunities to upsell and add-on services during the sales process Build relationships with venues, vendors, and referral partners to drive inbound leads Onboarding Clients til handoff to planner Operations Own and enforce all SOPs and standard workflows across the planning team Ensure HoneyBook documentation is complete, current, and audit-ready for every active client Manage and maintain the standardized client touch point schedule across all package types Oversee team scheduling and event staffing assignments for all weddings Serve as the first point of escalation for client issues, vendor conflicts, and day-of emergencies Monitor all active wedding timelines to ensure planning milestones are being met Lead weekly team meetings and individual check-ins with lead planners Team Leadership Directly manage, mentor, and evaluate lead planners and part-time event staff Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture aligned with Better Together values Identify training needs and lead ongoing team development Assist CEO in onboarding new hires and integrating them into company culture and processes Protect the team from burnout by ensuring equitable workload distribution Reporting and Strategy Deliver weekly ops and sales reports to CEO covering: Active client pipeline Conversion rates Team performance Upcoming wedding readiness Collaborate with CEO on quarterly goal setting and strategic planning Provide on-the-ground insights to inform pricing, packaging, and service decisions Requirements 3+ years of experience in wedding planning, event management, or a related field Proven sales experience — you can build rapport AND close Obsessively organized with strong project management instincts Natural leader who earns trust through competence and character CRM experience — HoneyBook or similar platform (Dubsado, etc.) Thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments — wedding weekends don't scare you Strong communicator across text, email, phone, and in-person Ability to travel within a 1-1.5 hour radius of Corpus Christi Bonus Points If You Have Experience managing a team of planners or event staff Existing relationships with Corpus Christi/South Texas vendors and venues A personal passion for design, styling, or event aesthetics Experience building or improving operational systems from the ground up
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
