With manufacturing facilities in China and sales and technical support teams worldwide, Shihua supports leading global customers across consumer electronics, electric vehicles, medical devices, and other high-growth industries. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically minded professional to join our Bay Area sales team. This role will focus on business development, key account management, and project management for functional material solutions. The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying new business opportunities, managing Tier-1 customer relationships, understanding customer technical requirements, and working closely with internal cross-functional teams to drive projects from opportunity identification to commercial execution. This position will report to the Business Development Director. Key Responsibilities Act as a hunter to promote Shihua's functional material solutions, identify new business opportunities, develop new accounts, and expand business with existing customers. Manage key customer accounts, including regular communication, project follow-up, commercial discussions, and long-term relationship development. Support the Business Development and Sales teams in creating customer demand profiles, tracking project progress, and following up on key action items. Understand customer application needs and translate customer requirements into clear technical parameters for the internal R D and application engineering teams. Communicate effectively with customers' engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and project management teams regarding material requirements, project status, sample evaluation, and technical feedback. Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including R D, production, quality, logistics, and customer service, to ensure timely project execution and delivery. Prepare professional business updates, project management summaries, customer reports, and internal progress reports. Manage purchase orders, order processing, shipment tracking, and customer order status updates. Support account management activities, including customer meetings, technical discussions, project documentation, and commercial follow-up. Assist with office operations and administrative coordination as needed. Travel domestically and internationally as required, approximately 20%. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, sales, business development, account management, project management, or customer-facing roles within the functional materials, electronics, die-cutting, converting, adhesive tape, or related industries. Experience serving Tier-1 customers is strongly preferred. Experience working with U.S.-based die-cut converters, material suppliers, or consumer electronics supply chains is a strong plus. Strong business development mindset with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive customer engagement. Solid account management skills and ability to support demanding customers in a professional and timely manner. Technical mindset with the ability to understand material applications, customer pain points, and basic technical requirements. Ability to translate customer needs into clear technical parameters and communicate them effectively to internal R D and engineering teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment. High level of ownership, result orientation, and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation, reporting, and business communication capabilities. Positive attitude and willingness to communicate proactively with customers and internal teams. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to think critically and solve problems independently. Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
