Job Description

Sales Manager Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Sales Manager to help build and lead our sales department from the ground up. This is not a traditional sales role — we are looking for a rare combination of strategic thinker, relationship builder, and self-driven operator who thrives in ambiguity and sees opportunity where others see obstacles. The ideal candidate is autonomous, socially intelligent, and an inductive thinker who can identify patterns, anticipate market needs, and help shape the future direction of the business. This individual will play a critical role in developing sales strategy, establishing processes, building customer relationships, and driving long-term growth within the hydraulic products and services industry. This position is best suited for someone who is future-minded and motivated by the opportunity to create something meaningful over time. Early-stage rewards may be limited, but the long-term opportunity for influence, leadership, and growth is significant. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to grow revenue and market presence Help design and build the sales department structure, systems, and processes Identify new business opportunities within industrial, hydraulic, manufacturing, and service markets Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative selling and exceptional service Collaborate with leadership to shape and align long-term business strategy and market positioning Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and operational needs to uncover growth opportunities Establish the CRM & create and maintain sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance reporting Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities Work cross-functionally with operations, service, and technical teams to ensure customer success Contribute ideas for product/service improvements and future offerings Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: Operates independently and takes ownership without needing constant oversight Is highly social, personable, and skilled at building trust and long-term relationships Thinks critically and inductively — able to connect information, identify trends, and solve problems creatively Is comfortable building systems and processes in an evolving environment Has an entrepreneurial mindset and embraces long-term growth opportunities Understands that foundational roles require patience, resilience, and vision Thrives in environments where initiative and adaptability are valued Qualifications Required Proven sales experience in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or technical industries Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience or technical knowledge in hydraulics, fluid power systems, pumps, cylinders, hoses, fittings, or related equipment Experience in B2B sales Background in hydraulic service, repair, distribution, or industrial sales Experience helping build or grow a sales department, territory, or business unit Familiarity with CRM systems, pipeline development, and consultative sales processes What Success Looks Like Building a scalable sales foundation for long-term company growth Establishing trusted relationships with key customers and industry partners Identifying untapped opportunities and helping shape company direction Becoming a core leader within the organization as the department expands Why Join Us? Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
