Job Description

Sattler Americas is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager - Awning & Marine to grow our presence in the awning and marine fabric markets. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and building a network of manufacturer representatives across key territories. Sattler USA is the US Head office of the Austrian SATTLER GROUP, the specialists for awnings, tarpaulins and technical textiles, as well as for innovative solutions in the field of textile architecture and environmental technology. Our manufacturing plant is located in the greater Hickory Metro Area, centrally located between Asheville and Charlotte in Hudson, North Carolina in a historic building in the middle of town. The building is as unique as our company, and we are always looking for great people to join our team. Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the awning and marine market segments Identify new business opportunities, sales channels, and target customers Manage and expand relationships with existing customers and key accounts Build and oversee a network of manufacturer representatives Analyze market trends and identify product opportunities Collaborate with internal teams (product development, customer service, operations) to support customer needs Prepare sales forecasts, report and maintain CRM updates Manage pricing, quotes, and customer communications Represent the company at trade shows and industry events Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of satisfaction Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of sales experience B2B or in large scale Distribution required (textile industry strongly preferred) Strong technical understanding of high performance or outdoor textiles is a plus Proven ability to drive sales growth and build relationships in the Boating and Marine or Housing market in relation to Awnings and Sun protection or experience with Government Contracts for high performance textiles Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Proven sales experience in awning, marine, upholstery, or technical textiles B2B or industrial sales background in technical sales / consultative selling in related fields for Textile or fabric industries such as Marine, RV, or outdoor product markets Distributor and channel partner management, Territory sales management Key account management (OEM / wholesale / export markets) Experience working with manufacturer representatives Familiarity with CRM systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives / Bonus Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, company paid life and Disability insurance, 401K and more) Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities within a global organization Pay depending on experience in the field Work Environment Combination of office and travel (customer visits, trade shows) Collaborative, team-oriented culture
