This role works closely with estimating, engineering, and project management teams to secure profitable work and support long-term growth. Responsibilities -Business Development Identify and pursue new project opportunities in structural steel fabrication. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and owners. Track and qualify upcoming construction projects within target markets. Develop and manage a pipeline of project opportunities. -Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary contact during the pre-bid and pre-award phases. Conduct client meetings, presentations, and networking activities. Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners. -Sales & Proposal Coordination Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to prepare competitive proposals. Review project documents and assist in evaluating bid opportunities. Participate in bid strategy discussions. -Market Development Monitor construction market trends and competitor activity. Identify new geographic markets or industry sectors for growth. Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions. Skills Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of construction bidding processes and structural steel fabrication. Ability to review construction drawings and specifications is a plus. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and pipeline management tools. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
