This position is responsible for generating revenue through corporate accounts, local business relationships, group rooms, meetings, events, social business, and other hotel sales opportunities. The Hotel Sales Manager will work closely with hotel leadership, operations teams, revenue support, clients, meeting planners, and local market contacts to help grow business and provide a professional sales experience from inquiry through execution. This is a great role for a hospitality sales professional who enjoys prospecting, relationship-building, account management, site tours, group coordination, and representing distinctive hotel products in a competitive market. - McAllen Prospect for new corporate, group, meeting, event, social, and local account business Build and maintain relationships with local companies, organizations, government contacts, travel managers, meeting planners, event planners, and repeat clients Respond to sales leads, inquiries, calls, emails, and client requests in a timely and professional manner Conduct site tours and represent both hotels professionally to prospective clients Prepare proposals, contracts, room block details, group notes, resumes, and event information as needed Support group rooms, meetings, banquets, social events, and local market sales opportunities Partner with hotel leadership, front office, housekeeping, banquet, culinary, accounting, and operations teams to support successful execution Maintain accurate client notes, sales activity, traces, booking details, account history, and required documentation Assist with local sales calls, networking, community outreach, and business development efforts Identify new business opportunities in the McAllen, airport, downtown, corporate, medical, education, government, social, and regional travel markets Follow up with clients before, during, and after stays or events to support satisfaction, retention, and repeat business Monitor upcoming groups, arrival details, billing needs, cutoff dates, special requests, rooming lists, and internal communication Support sales goals, revenue goals, guest satisfaction, client retention, and repeat business for both properties Represent DePalma Hotels & Resorts and both hotels in a professional, ethical, and service-focused manner Qualifications Required Previous hotel sales, hospitality sales, group sales, catering sales, event sales, sales coordinator, front office leadership, or related sales experience Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and professional presentation skills Ability to build relationships with clients, guests, local businesses, community contacts, and hotel team members Ability to manage multiple leads, deadlines, client needs, hotel priorities, and operational details at the same time Strong attention to detail with proposals, contracts, room blocks, client notes, event information, and follow-up tasks Comfortable making sales calls, sending professional emails, conducting follow-up, and speaking with prospective clients Ability to conduct professional site tours and represent two hotel properties effectively Ability to work closely with sales, front office, banquet, culinary, housekeeping, accounting, and hotel leadership teams Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel sales, catering, and property management systems Reliable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule based on business and client needs Preferred Previous hotel sales manager, group sales manager, catering sales manager, or dual-property hotel sales experience Experience with Marriott, Delta Hotels by Marriott, Wyndham, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, Hilton, IHG, or other branded hotel standards Experience with hotel property management systems, sales systems, lead platforms, or customer relationship tools Experience selling corporate accounts, group rooms, meetings, banquets, weddings, social events, government business, or local negotiated accounts Knowledge of the McAllen, Rio Grande Valley, airport, downtown, corporate, medical, government, education, sports, and social event markets Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus Schedule Flexible schedule based on business and client needs Primarily weekday schedule Occasional evenings, weekends, or event coverage may be required based on hotel activity Local travel between assigned hotels and client appointments may be required Job Type Full-time Pay Starting at $55,000 per year and Up, based on experience Eligible for additional quarterly and annual sales incentive compensation under the approved hotel sales incentive plan, with total incentive opportunity of up to 30% of base salary based on achievement of approved hotel sales goals and company incentive plan guidelines Company benchmark expectation: The incentive plan is designed so a fully performing Hotel Sales Manager who meets approved sales goals may generally earn approximately 10% to 15% of base salary in incentive compensation, with higher payouts available for exceeding goals and maximum payouts reserved for exceptional performance Benefits Eligible associates may be offered: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off Holiday pay Hotel travel discounts and perks Growth and advancement opportunities with an established hotel management company Join Our Team This is a great opportunity for a hotel sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing accounts, and representing two distinctive McAllen hotels.
