SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a supervisory position responsible for directing and providing oversight for experiential learning, student engagement, and co-curricular activities that enhance the overall student experience within the Rusche College of Business. Responsible for supporting student success, retention, career readiness, and employer engagement initiatives in collaboration with faculty, staff, and external partners. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Associate Dean.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, higher education, student affairs, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Five years of related professional experience in student engagement, academic advising, career development, or experiential learning coordination is required. Experience in a higher education environment is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred. Additional education may substitute for experience on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Directs and supports experiential learning initiatives across the College of Business, including credit and non-credit internships, study abroad opportunities, and applied learning experiences, in collaboration with faculty and external partners. Develops and supports structured student participation pathways, ensuring early exposure of first-year students to student organizations, competitions, professional events, and experiential learning opportunities. Serves as a primary point of contact for employers seeking to provide student engagement opportunities, including internships, externships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing, and connects employers with appropriate faculty for academic oversight. Oversees staff assigned student engagement and experiential learning support functions, including operational oversight within the Office of Student Services. Provides students with guidance, resources, and preparation related to employer engagement and experiential learning processes. Counsels and facilitates faculty efforts to develop, coordinate, and evaluate experiential learning initiatives, including academic competitions, major days, professional development events, and new engagement activities. Collaborates with faculty across departments to identify and support interdisciplinary experiential learning opportunities that enhance student learning outcomes. Maintains shared resources, documentation templates, and promotional materials related to experiential learning initiatives. Supports faculty advisors and student organization leaders in planning, promoting, and facilitating student organization engagement activities. Collaborates with college units, university departments, and community partners to promote student engagement opportunities and share best practices. Identifies and documents best practices related to experiential learning and student engagement activities for continuous improvement and reporting purposes. Maintains awareness of university-wide experiential learning resources and initiatives to ensure alignment with institutional goals and priorities.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
May assist with college events, recruitment efforts, and student recognition ceremonies. May represent the college at campus, regional, or community events promoting student engagement and experiential learning. May develop and maintain relationships with regional business and industry partners and travel regionally in support of employer engagement initiatives. May recruit, train, and supervise assigned student workers. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to manage multiple projects, organize events, and coordinate logistics effectively. Ability to collect, maintain, and report accurate data and documentation. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Ability to train and supervise others. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
