Job Description

About the Opportunity We are seeking a high-performing Used Car Sales Manager with a strong track record in inventory management, merchandising, team leadership, and profitability. This role is designed for a driven operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings energy to the sales floor, and understands how to maximize both inventory turn and gross. A huge plus is understanding inventory acquisition from the public. The ideal candidate knows how to lead people, acquire the right inventory, desk deals effectively, and create momentum throughout the dealership. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management-vauto proficient is a plus
  • Manage and maintain a profitable used vehicle inventory
  • Source and purchase vehicles through auctions, trades, street purchases, and dealer networks
  • Monitor aging inventory and implement pricing strategies to maximize turn and profitability
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to stay ahead of the market Sales Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a used car sales team
  • Create accountability and maintain a high-energy sales environment
  • Drive performance through training, structure, and daily leadership presence
  • Assist with desking deals and structuring transactions to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction Appraisals & Acquisitions
  • Oversee vehicle appraisals and ensure accurate market-based valuations
  • Work closely with sales and acquisition strategies while staying aggressive in the market Reconditioning & Merchandising
  • Oversee the reconditioning process to ensure inventory is frontline-ready quickly and efficiently
  • Coordinate with service and detail departments to reduce downtime and improve turn
  • Ensure vehicles are properly merchandised online and on the lot What We're Looking For
  • Proven automotive management experience required
  • Strong used car inventory and acquisition background
  • Experience managing salespeople and creating accountability
  • Strong desking and deal-structure experience
  • Ability to read market data and react quickly
  • High-energy leader with strong communication skills
