This role is responsible for developing revenue forecasts, achieving sales goals, identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and building strong customer relationships through a consultative sales approach. The Vice President of Sales will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support product development, pricing, production capabilities, and customer deadlines while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction from project development through delivery. Additional responsibilities include resolving customer concerns, presenting new product opportunities, leading trade show participation, and hiring, training, and developing sales staff to support continued company growth in a fast-paced B2B environment. Duties Develop sales revenue forecast. Ensure department is meeting /exceeding targeted sales goals. Identify and target new business and contract expansion opportunities. Consult with customers to fully understand their needs. Leverages a customer-diagnostic sales strategy and consultative approach to uncover customer-specific issues and/or opportunities. Develop proposals that position the full range of company capabilities and solutions to customers. Collaborate with other departments to determine ability to produce products, cost to produce products and ability to me customer deadlines and specifications. Work with customers on product development from product development to delivery. Monitor delivery, implementation, and customer satisfaction. Lead and facilitate or assist in the resolution of customer problems or concerns. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to present new product ideas with existing customers. Coordinate company participation in trade shows and represent company at trade shows. Hire, train and build skills of other sales staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required. Minimum of ten years B2B experience required. Knowledge of dietary/nutritional/food experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Previous management experience required. Experience with MS Office Suite. Must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines. Able to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems. Takes initiative and seeks additional training or direction as needed. Must be willing to abide by company policies and procedures, including those that are safety-related. Self-motivated individual willing to work hard, able to work in a group and alone, and be quality conscious. Demonstrates a professional, team first attitude toward work and co-workers. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of equipment. Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking of English. Work Environment Primarily an office-based work environment. Frequent travel to customer sites is required. Occasional visits to the headquarters manufacturing facility may be necessary depending on business needs.
Physical Demands Activities include:
ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift up to 10 pounds or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout a shift; tolerance of standing posture continuously during shift; intense walking is involved. Dexterity for manipulating work materials; repetitive motion; proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English. Ability to respond to safety signals, such as those generated by forklifts.
Travel Frequent Pay:
Up to $200,000.00 per year
