Job Description:
Addison Group is partnering with our client, a growing manufacturing organization, to identify an experienced Inside Sales Manager. This leadership position will oversee the inside sales function, guide a team of account management professionals, and help drive revenue growth through customer retention, process optimization, and strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in inside sales leadership, customer relationship management, and operational excellence. This role requires a collaborative leader who can develop high-performing teams, leverage data to improve results, and partner across departments to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of inside sales and account management professionals, ensuring achievement of departmental goals and performance expectations.
  • Create an environment focused on accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team productivity and effectiveness through regular coaching, performance discussions, and sales reviews.
  • Oversee customer account activities including pricing requests, order coordination, customer communication, and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and support revenue growth initiatives.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service by ensuring timely communication and accurate order processing.
  • Work closely with field sales teams to align on customer strategies, territory planning, and growth opportunities.
  • Establish performance metrics and regularly evaluate key indicators such as sales activity, customer retention, responsiveness, and conversion results.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage forecasting, sales reporting, pipeline visibility, and customer engagement activities.
  • Analyze sales and customer data to uncover trends, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on lead management efforts and follow-up activities related to campaigns and inbound opportunities.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure customer expectations, inventory availability, pricing strategies, and profitability goals are met.
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Support implementation and adoption of sales technologies, CRM platforms, and operational best practices.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; additional education is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or a related client-facing environment.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience managing direct reports within an inside sales, customer support, or account management team.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams that achieve sales, retention, or customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Prior experience within manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, industrial, or technical product environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing experienced team members and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to introduce new ideas and best practices related to customer engagement, quoting processes, lead reactivation, territory alignment, and account growth.
  • Results-oriented mindset with experience establishing and managing performance goals and accountability measures.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or comparable systems.
  • Experience working within ERP systems; exposure to Plex or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally across multiple departments.
