A significant portion of the role's compensation is performance-based, with bonuses tied to the aggregate sales results and performance metrics of the assigned subordinates and clinics. Success in this role depends heavily on the Sales Manager's proven ability to deliver consistent, high-impact sales training and coaching that elevates individual and team performance. The ideal candidate combines strong sales acumen with operational efficiency to ensure clinics operate smoothly while hitting or exceeding revenue and key performance indicator targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Focused on Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth Own the collective sales performance of 15-20 subordinates across assigned clinics, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals are met or exceeded. Develop and implement sales specific training programs, execute sales strategies, and drive promotional campaigns introduced by The Joint Corp and/or the franchise owner. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for every clinic and every subordinate; identify underperformance quickly and implement corrective action plans. Monitor lead generation and customer relationship management platform to ensure prospect communications are performed and leads progress to in-clinic visitation. Monitor review content on all reviewing sites, respond appropriately to all reviews, and report on reviews received for subordinates and clinic teams' performance considerations. Conduct regular performance reviews and one-on-one coaching sessions focused on sales results and customer service conditions. Manage and report on member participation, education, and retention initiatives. Sales Training & Team Development (Critical Focus Area) Design, deliver, and continuously improve comprehensive sales training programs for all subordinates, including new-hire onboarding, skill-refresh sessions, role-playing, and advanced closing techniques. Lead weekly or bi-weekly group training sessions (in-person and virtual) across the 10 locations to reinforce The Joint Chiropractic sales process, objection handling, membership upselling, and patient experience excellence. Provide field-based, side-by-side coaching at clinic locations to model and reinforce effective sales behaviors. Build a high-performance sales culture by mentoring subordinates on goal-setting, time management, and personal accountability. Operations Support Partner with clinic teams to ensure seamless daily operations, including patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and front-office processes that directly support sales conversion. Processing of and reporting on sales reversals from merchant service providers. Assist with inventory management, marketing material placement, and clinic presentation standards that enhance the patient sales experience. Support recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new sales team members as needed. Assist in addressing operational issues that impact the patient participation (e.g., patient retention processes, plan participation termination) by developing and orchestrating patient communication schedules supporting prescribed care completion and patient education initiatives. Performance Management & Accountability Track and report on collective team performance through detailed reporting dashboards and weekly updates to leadership. Enforce accountability standards while maintaining high team morale and retention. Travel regularly between assigned clinic locations to maintain visibility and deliver in-person training and support. Other Duties as Assigned Compensation Base salary commensurate with experience.
Performance Bonus:
Significant portion of total compensation is variable and directly tied to membership growth and the collective sales performance of all 15-20 subordinates and assigned clinics. Bonus payouts are calculated monthly and quarterly based on team-wide revenue attainment, membership retention, visitation growth, and other defined KPIs. Qualifications & Requirements:
3+ years of sales management experience, preferably in healthcare, wellness, retail, or franchise environments. Demonstrated success leading and training teams of 10+ people, with measurable improvements in individual and collective sales performance. Proven ability to design and deliver effective sales training programs (classroom, field coaching, virtual). Strong track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a multi-location setting. Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills. Willingness and ability to travel between multiple locations on a regular basis. High level of personal accountability and results-orientation. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Marketing or similar discipline)
Preferred:
Experience within the chiropractic, physical therapy, or healthcare services industry. Familiarity with The Joint Chiropractic business model and membership-based sales. Master's degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
