Send to Friend Experienced Territory Sales Manager Axis Seed is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager in the Texas Gulf Coast and South Texas areas. We are seeking candidates who have a proven track record in the seed and ag input business—specifically with territory development, dealer recruiting/development, and direct selling to producers. The ideal candidate has proven existing relationships and market equity. Our flagship seed brand, Axis Seed, is one of the fastest growing seed brands in the US and is part of a network of independent privately owned seed companies. Position Description The individual we are seeking should have the passion for an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to be a part of an exciting company with unlimited potential. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently both from home and on the road on a daily basis. The primary duty would be to build upon existing relationships to help develop the business and brand in a defined sales territory. Recruiting and developing a dealer/agent distribution network is essential. Direct sales calls on key producers and directing sales activities of dealers/agents would be routine activities. The position requires selling across multiple seed lines such as corn, soybean, grain sorghum and forages, as well as crop additive and fertility products. In addition, the ideal candidate will execute a robust local testing program and work closely with the product management team to advance the latest genetics and traits for this area. Qualifications The individual we are seeking requires an entrepreneurial drive and the desire to participate in company decisions locally. Technical expertise, creative outside-the-box thinking and relationship-building are very important.
Additionally:
BS in Agriculture/Agronomy, Business, Ag Economics, or equivalent years of experience in the industry Self-motivated, assertive, results-oriented, strong desire to succeed Willing to work in rural area, maintain high visibility and community involvement Some computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) Ability to speak publicly and communicate effectively in writing as needed Ability to lift heavy objects (seed = approx. 55 lbs.)
