This role focuses on generating new member opportunities, increasing deposits, identifying lending opportunities, and enhancing brand awareness through community engagement, networking, and strategic business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with businesses, community organizations, and members. Identify and secure new business opportunities to support membership, deposit, and lending growth. Serve as the primary contact for business relationships and referral partners. Collaborate with Retail, Marketing, Lending, and other departments to support business development efforts. Promote products, services, and marketing initiatives to prospective and existing members. Build and maintain referral networks to generate new business opportunities. Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and business organizations. Conduct presentations and informational sessions to businesses, community groups, and employer partners. Maintain accurate records of business development activities, sales leads, and results. Coordinate and support special events, including occasional evenings and weekends. Prepare reports and provide updates on business development activities and performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of banking or credit union experience with knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Minimum 4 years of successful outside sales or business development experience with a proven track record of generating and closing business. Strong relationship-building, networking, and business development skills. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to develop creative solutions and solve complex problems. Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to travel to branch locations, business sites, and community events as needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong project management, analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with members, businesses, and community partners. Effective presentation and public speaking abilities. Working knowledge of financial institution operations, products, and services. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
