Job Description
Clarke Precision Machine (CPM) is excited to welcome the next member of our team. Following our recent acquisition, CPM is focused on building the foundation for the next 60 years of growth. We are seeking a Business Development Manager who is energized by developing strong customer partnerships - growing and supporting our existing clients while identifying and cultivating new relationships. This role will play a critical part in CPM's growth strategy, allowing our CEO to focus on strategic acquisitions while ensuring the culture, craftsmanship, and customer service that built CPM continue to thrive. A successful BDM is driven by the opportunity to create meaningful partnerships and long-term growth. Through strategic thinking, analytical insight, and strong communication, they strengthen relationships with existing customers while uncovering new opportunities and building connections that help CPM and its clients grow together.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives 2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities 3. Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients 4. Provide regular reports to senior management on business development activities 5. Work closely with marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting the company's servicesQualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role 2. Bachelor's degree (preferred) or knowledge of precision machining industry with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications 3. Proven track record of client acquisition through building relationships and networking 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with strong problem-solving skills and ability think strategically and creatively 5. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients 6. Proficient in using business development tools and CRM software 7. Ability to work independently as a dedicated self-starter but also be a key member of the team 8. Must be willing to travel the region as needed and work hours required to meet job and customer demandsBenefits Include:
