BECU. PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $173,500.00-$211,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $135,100.00 - $250,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

In this role, you'll shape the future growth of BECU by driving enterprise-wide business development strategies that expand market presence, strengthen partnerships, and grow membership. You'll influence how and where BECU shows up in communities through new branch expansion, high-impact programs, and strategic B2B initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to measurable growth in deposits, loan volume, and brand reputation. By collaborating across Retail Delivery, marketing, Finance, and executive leadership, you'll help turn insight into action. Growth Strategy & Execution:
You'll lead the development and execution of Retail Delivery business development strategies that align with BECU's long-term strategic plan and deliver measurable growth outcomes.Branch Expansion:
You'll drive new branch growth through market analysis, business case development, and launch execution to support expanding member access.Market & Opportunity Development:
You'll identify emerging markets, member segments, and partnership opportunities, using market intelligence to inform data-driven decisions.Membership & Revenue Growth:
You'll own membership growth and revenue targets across designated programs in support of retail plans.Executive Reporting & Influence:
You'll provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.Financial Partnership:
You'll collaborate with Finance and Retail leaders to forecast, track, and optimize business development contributions to organizational KPIs.Program Leadership:
You'll oversee Workplace Banking, Community Reputation Program (CRB), and Union Banking initiatives to deepen relationships, increase acquisition, and enhance brand visibility.Events & Brand Presence:
You'll lead planning and execution of grand openings and other high-profile events that strengthen community engagement.Partnership Management:
You'll manage and expand affinity partnerships while developing new B2B opportunities aligned with BECU's mission.External Representation:
You'll represent BECU in executive-level engagements with business, civic, and community leaders.Cross Functional Collaboration:
You'll partner with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of growth initiatives.Innovation & Exploration:
You'll identify and evaluate innovative business models, fintech partnerships, and digital expansion opportunities.Thought Leadership:
You'll serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader on growth strategy and market positioning.Operational & Financial Planning:
You'll develop operating plans and budgets, including compensation projections and KPI planning, across all areas of responsibility.People Leadership:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent experience. 8 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or financial services. 5 years of people leader experience.Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in driving enterprise growth and managing high-impact programs in a large, complex organization. Exceptional leadership, communication, executive presence, and ability to present at all levels of the organization. Deep understanding of credit union operations, regulatory environment, and member-centric service models. Expertise with affinity group development, B2B strategy, and community-based outreach. Familiarity with banking trends and innovation frameworks. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-informed approach to decision-making. Demonstrated expertise to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and effectively manage and meet multiple, simultaneous deadlines.
