Great Lakes Management Group (GLMG Hotels) is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused, and results-driven Dual Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for our established Holiday Inn Express & Suites
  • Hayward and the exciting new voco Hayward by IHG , scheduled to open in September 2026.

Award-Winning Culture & Hotels Great Lakes Management Group has been recognized as a: USA Today Top Workplace Multiple IHG Torchbearer Award recipient Industry leader in guest satisfaction and operational excellence Benefits & Perks Competitive Base Salary + Bonus Potential Health, Dental & Vision Insurance & Other Ancillary Benefits IRA Contribution Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Hotel Discounts Career Growth Opportunities Supportive Leadership Culture Mileage Reimbursement & Cell Phone Allowance (if applicable) Opportunity to lead the sales effort for a brand-new hotel opening Position Overview The Dual Director of Sales will oversee all sales efforts for both hotels, with a strong focus on: Corporate accounts Group business SMERF market Meeting & event sales Local negotiated accounts Community engagement Opening activation strategies for the voco Hayward launch This leader will work closely with Operations, Revenue Management, and Corporate Leadership to maximize revenue, market share, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, relationship-driven, and passionate about hospitality sales. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Develop and execute strategic sales plans for both hotels Generate new corporate, group, and local business opportunities Conduct outside sales calls, networking, and community engagement Prospect and secure new accounts within the Hayward and surrounding markets Build strong relationships with businesses, organizations, and event planners voco Opening & Market Activation Assist with pre-opening sales strategies and hotel launch efforts Develop awareness and excitement around the new voco Hayward opening Coordinate hotel tours, site visits, and community outreach efforts Drive meeting and event business for the new hotel Revenue & Reporting Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize rate strategy and inventory management Monitor pace, production, STAR reports, and market trends Prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts, and account activity updates Participate in revenue and leadership meetings Guest & Brand Experience Ensure all client interactions reflect professionalism and hospitality Support brand standards and guest satisfaction initiatives Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure successful group execution Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience preferred Previous Director of Sales or hotel leadership experience preferred IHG experience is a plus Strong knowledge of group, corporate, and transient sales strategies Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Experience with hotel sales systems and CRM platforms preferred Strong organizational and time management skills About GLMG Hotels Great Lakes Management Group Hotels is a growing hotel management company focused on operational excellence, people-first leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of award-winning hotels.
