Job Description

Delta Defense is hiring a skilled VP, Digital Sales & Acquisition for its growing Revenue Vertical. This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be responsible for leading the digital marketing teams that generate new membership growth for the USCCA. The qualified candidate is a highly quantitative-skilled marketer with demonstrated experience in acquiring new customers for membership-based organizations. This candidate will leverage ~$40M in marketing funding to orchestrate paid, owned/organic, and earned media channels to generate qualified leads that align to our core segments and convert into memberships at target cost per acquisition goals. The candidate should also possess a track record of achievement in scaling digital businesses within a growth-focused organization. This is a headquarters-based role. Critical skills that set the preferred candidate apart from their peer group include: A strong analytical discipline that enables the leader to plan, execute, and measure a digital marketing team purely on the quantitative benefits of its underlying economic math. Demonstrated understanding of digital media platforms and channels that can be monetized for new digital memberships at scale.   • and lower-funnel conversions
  • but excels at mid
  • and lower-funnel execution and optimization.
Ability to demonstrate experience in transforming traditional SEO initiatives into Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) question-based content to transform our brand's visibility into authority and readable by AI answer tools such as Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. Expert at working alongside creative directors and their teams to effectively collaborate and develop marketing assets that are optimized for the target market, media channel, and LTV we seek to achieve profitable long-term profit from our membership base. Expertise in executing digital marketing creative/offer champion versus challenger test and control methods. Demonstrate strong aptitude in advanced analytics and digital segmentation methods in support of consumer response, conversion, retention, and other relevant end-action business outcomes. Demonstrated passion for our space, including an in-depth understanding of our industry and a curiosity to unearth innovative opportunities that will open up new channels of qualified leads that align to our target members. Expertise in managing digital media agencies, analytics & data projects, and campaign execution partners. Demonstrated history in working with affiliate marketing channels to structure qualified lead acquisition deals that are compliant with canspam and TCPA business controls and technologies. Expertise in integrating digital campaigns with high-touch contact centers to amplify conversion success beyond traditional digital-only methods of membership acquisition. Thrives under extreme pressure to deliver acquisition results that align to our weekly/monthly/annual digital marketing spend, cost per acquisition, and membership growth targets within the revenue vertical. An exceptional and expert leader of people that can grow talent from the bench, hire high-impact digital marketing and sales professionals, and hold all team members accountable to our ambitious goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in economics, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. 10-12+ years experience of digital marketing execution. Leadership within direct-to-consumer (DTC) and/or business-to-consumer (BTC) brands. 5-7+ years in a leadership role within a mid-size/large organization and able to navigate organizational boundaries effectively. Experience with AI-driven marketing tools for personalization, predictive analytics, and dynamic content generation via GEO/SEO. Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Preferred:
Experience with CDP, segmentation, targeting, and analytics tools including Braze, Google Analytics, Google Search console, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, BrightEdge, SurferSEO, AthenaHQ, and Semrush. Knowledge of Web content, and social media audience development and production.
