Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity Maintain organized checkout areas by stocking supplies and merchandising products effectively Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed and balance registers at shift end Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person Skills Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures Supervising experience or ability to oversee checkout operations during busy periods Ability to conduct product demos confidently and educate customers about merchandise Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer needs Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members Knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management Familiarity with grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally Proven customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career while delivering outstanding service.
