Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a restaurant or grocery store setting is preferred. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases. Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale system. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring it is sanitized and presentable. Assist with food preparation and bussing tables as needed in a restaurant setting. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food handling and preparation. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling and change giving. Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient operations during busy periods. Experience Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role within a restaurant, grocery store, or quick service fast food restaurant is highly desirable. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
