The Pool Cashier Clerk reports to the Pool Manager. Distinguished from the Pool Manager in that the incumbent does not organize or direct the operation of a municipal swimming pool. Distinguished from Pool Locker Room Attendant in that the incumbent does not usually perform general housekeeping of pool locker rooms, shower rooms, or restrooms. - Operates a cash register and an automatic ticket machine.
- Collects fees and issues tickets.
- Answers the telephone and provides information to the public regarding events or programs held at the municipal swimming pool, admission prices, and hours of operation.
- May provide general housekeeping of the facility to ensure the safety of participants and the public.
ABILITY TO
- Learn cashiering methods and procedures.
- Perform the four basic arithmetic calculations.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the public (children and adults) and with other personnel.
- Learn basic first aid procedures.
