Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly. Assist with product demonstrations and upselling items to enhance the customer experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding merchandise displays. Stock shelves as needed and assist with merchandising efforts to promote sales. Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support in their roles. Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers and team members. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as they can enhance communication with diverse customers. Experience in supervising staff or conducting product demos is advantageous. Strong phone etiquette is essential for handling customer inquiries effectively.
