Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier (ampm), where your energy and enthusiasm will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this vital role, you'll be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth transactions and providing top-notch service. Your multitasking skills and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment for every shopper. As a key team member, you'll contribute to store merchandising, stock management, and sales growth, all while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and upselling products to enhance sales Manage stock levels through stocking and inventory checks to ensure product availability Uphold professional phone etiquette when taking orders or assisting customers remotely Requirements Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or convenience store environments Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual abilities are highly valued Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures required Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed This role offers a vibrant work environment where your proactive approach makes a real difference.
