PROMOTIONAL
recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently ONE position open at El Camino High School. This is an 8 hour/day, 10-month position. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a wide variety of cashiering and clerical accounting record keeping work, of moderate difficulty, related to secondary associated student body funds; maintain specific records and files pertaining to school clubs and activities and other programs; and perform general clerical duties. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of varied clerical accounting record keeping work, preferably including substantial public contact. Knowledge of Accounting and bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures. Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition. Methods and practices of financial and statistical record keeping. Modern office methods, procedures, and equipment. Operation of a computer and assigned software. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Ability to Perform clerical accounting work without continuous supervision. Perform accounting work involving use of independent judgment and requiring accuracy and speed. Compile and maintain accurate and complete records and reports. Make arithmetical calculations with accuracy and speed. Meet schedules and timelines. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Operate office equipment. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Deal tactfully and courteously with students, district staff, and the public. Establish and maintain professional, cooperative, and effective working relationships. Communicate with diverse groups and individuals.
