hourly, part time, non-exempt Position Overview Morton Golf is seeking a dynamic Starter/Cashier to join our team and contribute to our tradition of excellence. Our Starters/Cashiers are responsible for advance tee time reservations, handling registration, and conducting retail transactions. This role involves answering phone calls, offering precise information in response to customer inquiries, and promoting additional services such as power cart rentals, Play Cards, and various golf programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage advance tee time reservations ensuring a smooth flow of play. Handle the registration process efficiently, welcoming guests upon their arrival. Conduct retail transactions, processing payments for greens fees, merchandise, and other services. Answer phone calls, providing accurate and detailed information to customer inquiries. Promote additional services, including power cart rentals, Play Cards, and enrollment in various golf programs. Ensure a high level of customer service, assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner. Qualifications Must have a basic understanding of the game of golf to answer customer's questions. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience in cash handling and retail transactions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying weekday shifts.
