Position Overview:
The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while serving beverages and snacks to guests at golf events and golf courses. This role requires a friendly demeanor, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to enhancing the guest experience. This role actively contributes to a positive and collaborative community by delivering exceptional service, fostering open communication, and creating an engaging experience for residents, colleagues, and partners. Essential Functions Greet guests courteously, take beverage orders, and serve drinks promptly and accurately. Operate Point of Sale, obtain and verify Member Accounts, and accurately handle transactions. Report any issues related to customers, equipment, or co-workers to the supervisor promptly. Maintain a professional appearance and wear name badge during work hours. Operate and maintain the beverage cart, ensuring all products are stocked and presented attractively. Serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks to guests on the course or at designated areas. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations when asked. Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage cart and surrounding areas. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service. Assist with inventory management, including stocking items and reporting low inventory levels. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring a timely resolution. Demonstrate awareness of workplace safety practices and support organizational efforts to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
Note:
Employee may have to undertake more tasks as needed or as directed, within the responsibilities of their role. Work Experience Previous experience in customer service, food and beverage industry, or a similar role is advantageous. Experience in cash handling and operating a point-of-sale system preferred. Skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interact respectfully with senior residents and diverse guests. Ability to work calmly and efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to assist other staff as needed. Accuracy in point of sales billing and recordkeeping. Ability to accurately inventory liquor. Physical Demands and Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching above/below shoulders. Ability to lift, carry, and balance trays and beverage containers. Manual dexterity for handling bar tools and equipment. Clear vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills. Primarily indoor bar setting with occasional exposure to heat or freezer temperatures. Must be at least 21 years of age. Conditions of Employment Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. Maintain professional conduct and work effectively in a team-oriented, resident-focused environment. Employees who drive on company property must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license. Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Completion of the responsible beverage service training program recommended by the California ABC (as per the guidelines available at: https://www.abc.ca.gov/education/). Completion of California SERVSafe certificate.
