Menlo Park Job Description:

Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in Menlo Park is seeking a part-time experienced Grocery Checker immediately.

Reports to:

Store Director and Assistant Store Director.

Pay range:

$22.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Able to provide excellent customer service. Greet each customer in a friendly manner. Operate cash register and process transactions, including cash handling procedures and opening and closing procedures. The ability to lift cases of product and having the skills to stock and face the grocery shelves properly are required. Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, etc. as necessary. Works with colleagues as a team; maintains a positive attitude and a willingness to help others. Performs other duties as required or assigned by superiors.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of Grocery Store and/or cashier experience. Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service. Able to work a variety of shifts primarily weekends and evenings, and holidays. Knowledge of the cash register and its operation, along with cash handling skills. Knowledge of the grocery department and products sold in the department, along with learning the location of products within the store Knowledge of produce department items and learning proper produce codes are required. Possess excellent interpersonal skill and ability to communicate effectively with customers, other team members and leadership. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
