Responsibilities Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are organized and visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with professionalism. Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and suggest upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while practicing excellent phone etiquette when answering customer or supplier calls. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and participating in periodic inventory counts. Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies during stocking and cashiering activities. Communicate clearly with team members and customers to foster a friendly environment that encourages repeat business. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual settings if applicable. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations accurately. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling best practices. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
