SUMMARY:

The Revenue Control Clerk is responsible for the accurate handling, verification, and reconciliation of all park revenue. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding company assets through detailed cash handling, counting, balancing, and preparing daily deposits. The ideal candidate has prior cash-handling or banking experience, demonstrates a high level of accuracy and integrity, and is comfortable working in a fast‑paced amusement park environment. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays , which are peak business periods for the park.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA's only admission free amusement park that offers 12 amusement rides, 15 midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and dynamic retail experiences. The ever-popular Park and iconic Pier enjoy more than 8.5 million visitors annually. In addition to the Pacific Wheel, the world's only solar-powered Ferris wheel, Pacific Park's signature rides include The West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above Santa Monica Bay. The Park is operated by more than 500 team members featuring a highly diverse, dynamic, and passionate team.

REPORTING

• This position reports directly to the Revenue Control Lead responsible for each shift.

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately collect, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash, coin, and non-cash revenues from all park revenue outlets
• Prepare and process daily bank deposits in accordance with company policies and internal controls
• Balance point-of-sale reports, cash drawers, safes, kiosks, and vault funds; research and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain detailed and accurate revenue records, logs, and reports for audit and accounting purposes
• Safeguard all cash and sensitive financial documents to ensure loss prevention and compliance
• Coordinate with park operations, finance, and management regarding revenue issues or irregularities
• Follow established cash-handling, security, and banking procedures
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required
• Operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with Pacific Park policies and procedures.
• All other duties assigned and needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Detail oriented, extremely accurate, and efficient with handling money and data.
• Able to apply basic math skills required.
• Prior cash handling, banking experience a plus
• Must successfully pass background, drug and credit check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a cash counter, calculator, copy machine, computer, printer.
• Position requires sitting, standing and walking with occasional stooping, reaching, kneeling and crouching/ squatting.

LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a part time position located in Santa Monica on the Santa Monica Pier. Peak periods offer opportunity to work 40+ hours/weekly if desired based on company's needs. Staffing required to support Pacific Park's operation 7 days a week, year-round. Most shifts run from approximately 4 pm to midnight or later. Pacific Park is an at-will employer.
