Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges swiftly and efficiently Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed to enhance their shopping experience Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end Upsell products by recommending complementary items or promotions to maximize sales opportunities Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock impulse buy items, and assist with merchandising efforts Support stocking activities by organizing shelves and ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed according to store standards Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries over the phone Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly, professional manner Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Bilingual abilities are a plus, helping us serve a diverse customer base more effectively Experience with POS systems, merchandising, stock management, and upselling techniques is highly desirable Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial for supporting team initiatives Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards Join us in creating memorable shopping experiences!
