Job Summary:

As a Store Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store operates smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining the store's appearance, and handling transactions. We are seeking a reliable and friendly individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers with a positive attitude, assist them with product inquiries, and provide information on promotions and sales. Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.

Sales Transactions:

Operate the cash register, process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and issue receipts. Ensure that all transactions are recorded and balanced at the end of the shift.

Stock Management:

Assist with the stocking of shelves, display of merchandise, and maintenance of inventory levels. Monitor stock for quality and expiration dates, and reorder items as necessary.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the store clean and organized, including the sales floor, checkout area, and stockroom. Ensure that merchandise is neatly displayed and that the store meets health and safety standards.

Product Knowledge:

Stay informed about product features, benefits, and availability. Provide recommendations and guidance to customers based on their needs and preferences.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Promotions and Sales:

Assist in setting up and promoting in-store events, sales, and promotions. Encourage customers to take advantage of special offers and loyalty programs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Basic math skills and experience handling cash. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [specific weight, e.g., 25 lbs].
