Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. This role combines customer service with merchandising and inventory management, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales and cashiering. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, helping to enhance team performance and customer interactions in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and assistance as needed Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive store presentation Conduct product demos to promote featured items and increase sales Assist with merchandising efforts, including product placement and signage updates Perform upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom Manage inventory levels by stocking new products and removing expired or damaged items Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and improve store operations Requirements Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations Ability to perform stocking, merchandising, and product demos as needed Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles or team support responsibilities Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
