Duties Operate the cash register efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately and promptly. Assist customers with inquiries, providing information about products and services. Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring that items are displayed neatly and organized according to store standards. Monitor inventory levels, assisting with inventory control and reporting any discrepancies. Participate in shipping and receiving activities, including unpacking and packaging products as needed. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to move stock around the store. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cashier area and stockroom. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with inventory control processes and shipping/receiving practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately. Experience using pallet jacks or forklifts is an advantage; certification may be required. Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
