Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the station. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail or grocery store environments. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, assist customers with product demos, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Duties Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions Greet customers courteously and provide exceptional customer service Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling, and product demos Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and merchandising products Maintain cleanliness of the station including pumps, store area, and restrooms Handle cash register operations including balancing cash drawers at shift end Promote store specials and upsell items to increase sales Supervise other team members when necessary, ensuring smooth daily operations Ensure compliance with safety protocols and station policies Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone Requirements Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Experience with POS systems is a plus Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve a diverse customer base Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
